Vegan Fierce Seeks WordPress Volunteers & Contributors

Corporate employee

Vegan Fierce started getting media attention a few months after it’s inception, and I’m not looking to sell the site at this time either outright or to merge memberships (Registration is not required to use the site currently although registrants do supply their names and emails.  In the near future, there will be a FREE version, which will likely be what you see now, but there will be a paid one available in the coming months as the site matures)… I’m really passionate about veganism and animal rights, and this will continue to be at the forefront of the site for the foreseeable future with monetization being just an extra perk whereby vegans and animal activists can show off their wares.

I am, however, in a catch 22 situation right now where I cannot afford any professional web designers and am a bit over my head with replying to comments, which takes away from blogging and creating new t-shirt designs to come, as well as posting the stories of others. As of the time of this posting, the site is purely educational and fun, with only a handful of items for sale. All I can say is that I have passion, but I’m falling short of getting things done, and need some assistance.

I am not looking for a full-time administrator or anything, just someone to volunteer to do some very small tasks on the site via WordPress. The first thing that I need is a Contact Us page so I don’t get personal emails in the Stories sections. Then, I need to add a Privacy Policy, which can be fused with the About, Mission/Vision Statements. Stories, as well as new products, will need to be shared via social media. This is a normal thing that anyone is allowed to do, but the site should make it’s way into the vegan community inasmuch as possible with consistency yet with ethics and related content being shared. The videos section needs to be cleaned up.   Be willing to think of new ideas that you can do to the site with my approval and understanding.  Additional fitness-minded vegans are still needed to be featured on the site, and only original photos and commentaries will be posted unless the rights holder(s) grant me express permission to use the content. I would like to start with six men and six women for the fitness section. You do not need to have sponsorship as this is solely to get your name out a little bit, hopefully, while helping the site to grow. As for the regulars who have been sending in poetry and inspirational or animal rescue stories, please keep them coming!

This is an unpaid, very easy position, which requires an extreme amount of trust. You also need to be available to complete any projects that you’ve taken on, not just start and forget.  Communication should be within hours, not days.  This ad is only being posted here, and on Facebook, as I know that many of you are vegans and animal activists, and I do not wish to run into any additional Craig’s List scam artists or the like. I refuse to use any website development companies, only individuals who can make a difference.  Many of you I know personally, not just on Facebook, and I am looking to designate temporary usernames and passwords to one person at the start, and once I have things the way that I want, I will likely ask for additional contributors.

Please send me a brief letter of your interest as well as your experience, should you have any. You do not have to have experience, but to work on the back end, you must know how to do the basics. Message me in my Facebook inbox so I can respond to you personally.  If we haven’t connected on that site, please send me a message through one of the available links on this website, or send me a friend request, and I will be sure to message you if we are a good fit.  As always, be sure to subscribe to the Vegan Fierce Facebook page, YouTube channel, and other social networks.

Thanks,

Paul, Vegan Fierce

About the author

I began this website as a way to showcase that going vegan is easy, cost-effective, delicious, and most importantly, fun. No animal has to suffer or die for a meal. Since the age of four, I have not eaten meat. I learned at a young age that the family puppy shared the same types of emotions as wild animals and farm animals. I never thought that it was okay to exploit them. Twelve years ago, I gave up cheese, not knowing the suffering through which cows had gone. I am dedicated to the vegan lifestyle, animal advocacy, and in furthering the social justice movements for all people, animals, and the planet. I am pleased to announce that since this blog began in 2014, there are many more vegan businesses from restaurants, a fully vegan shopping center, a school that only serves vegan food, and a vegan medical center. Although I have no affiliation with them, I feel that it is noteworthy to say that the movement is growing, and I hope to see the property status of animals one day change to acknowledge them as "persons," not things.
