“Voting With Our Dollars Defines The World We Wish To See”

Do you have ANY idea what the animals are enduring as we speak? It’s behind closed doors for a reason. If you’ve ever seen a sick relative suffer in the hospital, you’ve been robbed and beaten up for something you cannot change about who you are, and people are making fun of you for it all at the same time, it doesn’t even come close to what they are going through. Slaughterhouse and factory farm workers, though likely good people in otherwise normal situations, are doing the unspeakable, committing legal crimes in the name of business as usual. What you buy in stores and restaurants says a lot about you. I’ve been deleted over the years by hundreds of people at the very least, and though I miss my “friends,” I would rather save lives than sugarcoat the truth and be a fake friend myself. It hurts like anything when I lose friends, but this isn’t about me. I will do anything to make this Earth more beautiful. This is something that is available to all of us regardless of our life circumstances and personal defining characteristics. We are all on a level playing field. I promise that I will do everything that I can to make this place better for people, animals, and the environment than before I got here.

About the author

I began this website as a way to showcase that going vegan is easy, cost-effective, delicious, and most importantly, fun. No animal has to suffer or die for a meal. Since the age of four, I have not eaten meat. I learned at a young age that the family puppy shared the same types of emotions as wild animals and farm animals. I never thought that it was okay to exploit them. Twelve years ago, I gave up cheese, not knowing the suffering through which cows had gone. I am dedicated to the vegan lifestyle, animal advocacy, and in furthering the social justice movements for all people, animals, and the planet. I am pleased to announce that since this blog began in 2014, there are many more vegan businesses from restaurants, a fully vegan shopping center, a school that only serves vegan food, and a vegan medical center. Although I have no affiliation with them, I feel that it is noteworthy to say that the movement is growing, and I hope to see the property status of animals one day change to acknowledge them as "persons," not things.
